Trainee: Trapping Program

Exterior Snake Barrier Installer Trainee

Positions are on-call, part-time to full-time and/or seasonal, and may involve working nights, weekends, and on holidays. 

For all positions

Ideal candidates will enjoy working outdoors on a varied schedule, and in the warmer months, often at night. 
 
Minimum Requirements: A team player with a strong desire to learn, is goal and safety oriented, a high school graduate, can lift 50+ pounds, comfortable working at heights using ladders or hydraulic lifts, and working in tight spaces. 
 
This position requires physical endurance, and involves standing, bending, kneeling, or crawling, often for extended periods of time in temperatures that range from very hot to cold.   Reliable transportation is required.  Must live in the greater Victor Valley region. 
 
Due to the nature of our work, a Livescan/federal background check, clean driving record, drug testing, and verification of education/experience are required as a condition of employment.  Some positions may have additional requirements as a condition of employment.

Additional Requirements

Licensed Trapper

  • Two years full-time experience
  • Valid California Nuisance Trapping License
  • Experience with legal trapping techniques, including larger animals such as coyotes and wild pigs. 
  • Ability to understand and assist with depredation and federal abatement permits.
  • Interior and exterior inspections
  • Running a trapping/service route
  • Bird abatement
  • Ability to write reports. 
  • Exceptional customer service 

Venomous Snake Removal Technician

A minimum of five years of verifiable snake-handling experience is required.  Condition/offer of employment will require passing a hands-on demonstration of safety and proper handling techniques.  Exceptional customer service is a must!

Trainee: Trapping/Fencing Program

Ability to adhere to a training schedule.  

Ability to pass the exam to obtain a California Nuisance Trapper’s License within 60 days. No exceptions.  (trapping only)

All positions have the potential for advancement.  Salary is commensurate with licensing and experience.
